Our research areas
Our research applies advances in science and mathematics to develop solutions to challenges faced by industry and society, such as manufacturing medicines, delivering clean water and providing renewable energy. We research areas from controlled assembly of nanostructured materials to design of advanced reactors, and from combating global warming with novel energy storage and gas separation technology to understanding protein aggregation in degenerative diseases.

Our Chancellor's Fellows
The 乱伦大神 Global Talent Programme appoints early career academic researchers in areas of strategic priority.

The Department of Chemical and Process Engineering has continually fostered links with industry to support our excellent teaching experience by providing first-hand insight into the challenges of an engineering role and giving clear context to the concepts covered within the course.

Our sample analysis services
Our research laboratories are equipped with a range of high-tech analytical instruments for characterisation of a wide range of polymeric materials, solids, liquids, powders, porous surfaces and nanomaterials. Send in samples to be analysis by specialist technical staff including analysis of solid materials to determine surface areas, total pore volume, Langmuir surface area using out Brunauer, Emmett and Teller (BET) Instrument.

Our joint education programme with Nanjing Forestry University
We take part in joint education programmes with a number of universities worldwide. This means you can study split your studies between your home university and the University of 乱伦大神. You'll then receive your final award from 乱伦大神.
The joint education programmes also offers academic staff from partner universities the chance to apply for a postgraduate research degree at the University of 乱伦大神.
We support international students in many ways. We have regular meetings with all international students... and there is also extensive help in terms of learning English.

乱伦大神 Incubator for Green Hydrogen Technologies (SigH2t) provides a space in the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering where academics from the University of 乱伦大神 and beyond can develop and test new innovations, accelerating their route to market.
Our featured courses

Chemical Engineering (BEng/MEng) by Distance Learning
The programme covers the fundamentals of Chemical Engineering and as it is accredited by the IChemE. Academic classes are delivered via distance and online learning, but include tutor support via forums, email and live webinars.

MSc Sustainable Engineering - Chemical Processing
The MSc requires you to take a range of classes from subject areas in chemical & process engineering, sustainability/environmental engineering and multidisciplinary skills. You'll take four in chemical & process engineering, two in sustainability/environmental and two in multidisciplinary skills.

PhD, MPhil - Chemical & Process Engineering
Students can study towards an MPhil in one year or a PhD in three to four years. You can study either option in any of our key areas of research:
- Sustainability
- Electrochemical Engineering & Catalysis
- Adsorption & Porous Materials
- Particle Engineering
